Name: Sodium Monofluorophosphate
CAS No.: 10163-15-2
Appearance: White powder
Purity: 95%
Molecular formula: Na2PO3F
Melting point: 625 °C
Packing: 25kg/bag
Sodium monofluorophosphate properties
Colorless fine crystals or white powder. Decomposes in moist air and releases hydrogen fluoride. Easily soluble in water, the solution is neutral. It is easily hydrolyzed in acidic solutions and decomposes into pyrophosphate when heated, with a melting point of 625°C.
As a source of fluorine, it is safer than other fluoride raw materials (such as sodium fluoride). It is a hazardous chemical with an acute toxicity LD50 of 570mg/kg[4]. According to the national standard “Specification for Raw Materials Used in Toothpaste (GB22115-2008)”, it can be used in limited quantities in toothpaste.

Sodium monofluorophosphate main uses
It as a source of fluoride in effective therapeutic toothpaste for protecting teeth, is derived from toothpaste abrasives, anticaries agents, and desensitizers. Generally used in concentrations of 0.7-0.76%, it is also utilized as a fluoridating agent for drinking water and as a fluoride-based disinfectant for metal surface cleaning. It serves as a precursor for preparing other monofluorophosphate salts and is also employed as a rust inhibitor.
