Properties: Mn(H2PO4)2•2H2O is characterized by crystalline formations ranging from white to gray-white or slightly reddish. It possesses strong hygroscopic properties, readily absorbing moisture. It is soluble in water and undergoes hydrolysis, resulting in the formation of a flocculent precipitate. The aqueous solution exhibits acidity. It is insoluble in alcohol.

Applications

It is primarily utilized as a phosphating agent for rust prevention in steel and iron. Particularly suitable for large machinery, when treated with phosphating and coated with paint, it prevents atmospheric corrosion and enhances insulation properties of the equipment.
