Properties: 1,3-Dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin is white or off-white crystalline powder, slightly odorous of chlorine. DBDMH dissolves in benzene, dichloromethane, and chloroform, and can be further processed into granules and tablets. It has a faint odor, is sparingly soluble in water, slightly soluble in certain organic solvents, stable when dry, but prone to decomposition when exposed to moisture. 1,3-Dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin reacts in water to form hypobromite and hypochlorite salts.

Applications
1,3-Dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin is available in powder form ranging from 60 to 90 mesh, granules in sizes of 8-30 mesh, 15-25 mesh, and 25-40 mesh, and tablets in 1g, 15g, 20g, etc. It can be formulated into sustained-release or quick-dissolve granules and tablets based on user preferences.
