Descriptions
Properties: chromium nitrate is a purple-red deliquescent crystal that decomposes when heated to 125.5°C, with a melting point of 60°C. Easily soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, acetone and inorganic acids. Its aqueous solution turns green when heated, and quickly turns red-purple after cooling. It is corrosive and can cause burns. Contact with flammable materials can cause combustion.
Storage condition: Stored in a cool, ventilated warehouse.
Application: Used as a mordant and corrosion inhibitor for the production of chromium-containing catalysts, glass, ceramic glazes, printing and dyeing fabrics.
